What is your name? (forum nickname, or whatever you want us to call you on this forum)

Where are you from? (eastern suburbs, western suburbs, another country, a cupboard under the stairs?)

How long have you been LARPing?

What got you in to LARP?

What do you look forward to the most about LARP events?

What is your name? Louise

Where are you from? The not-so-wild west of Melbourne.

How long have you been LARPing? My first real LARP experience was in 2007 with PG, and I started attending Zeppelin Games regularly in 2009.

What got you in to LARP? The opportunity to play pretend with grown ups. Hmm yes. I knew there was some legitimate way I could continue being a kid in an imaginary land, it just took me a while to find it.

What do you look forward to the most about LARP events? Being with friends. Also, winning.

Top gaming for ages now, not to mention online stuff. I always wanted to try larping, but I lived in a place where I couldn't. Found Swordcraft through pax, then had folks tell me that if I wanted a more story and role play oriented thing, Chimera was the group to find. Stephen convinced me to give L5R a shot, and I haven't looked back.

Howdy,

Hailing from a small country town approximately 34 leagues from the City of Melbourne, I run a small LARP group set in a world I created with friends and family from our family farmstead.

Our game and world is still in its infancy, and as we're building it up to a good small gathering of regular players, I thought I would join the Victorian community board to see what else is going on LARPwise.

I'm interested in the concepts of Dantir and L5R, though the rules and mythos are so in depth that I'd feel out of my league trying to play the game. Furthermore, between the LARP I run, the tabletop RPG that is set in the same world I also run, a full time job and family commitments, I fear it will be a long time coming 'ere I set foot in the world of Dantir or L5R.

That being said, I have come here simply to learn what works, what doesn't work LARPwise, and learn about spaces that can be used (other than my Farmstead) for playing said games.

I think that about sums it up, so I shall now bow before ye, and fall silent.
