Wow, did you actually sign up to this forum just to see if you could start raising some bad feelings against the Lion?

I'm impressed at your dedication.

Re: World Map

Wow!

I hadn't realised how stupidly big the territory the Lion are now sprawled over was.

I love it when that happens.

Player: You should make the rules like this.
Org: What? They already are.

Re: Short duration buff spells and you (rules proposal)

Ok, so this thread has got me thinking. It's still early days, so it's quite possible the problem is just one of people knowing how to handle being buffed. (That is, we're noobs, me included, when it comes to coordinating spell effects) So, during weapons training on one of the day games I'll try m...

Re: Short duration buff spells and you (rules proposal)

You may be right - I wasn't really keeping count.

Anyway, my point was not that the fire shugenja isn't an effective combatant, just that they're not head and shoulders above the other combatants, as you suggested earlier.

Re: Short duration buff spells and you (rules proposal)

And ... you're entitled to be wrong. No one has a higher DPS than me right now, OR higher damage per event. I do not miss, I cannot be parried, and I can throw faster than sword wielders are allowed to swing. What's damage per event? Total damage dealt. I landed something between 50 and 60 damage o...

Re: Short duration buff spells and you (rules proposal)

With all due respect, I disagree.

I think that 48 doubles worth of fireballs has much less damage potential than you walking along behind a bushi giving that guy +1 damage for 4 mins (2 mins?) in 30 second breaks.

Re: Short duration buff spells and you (rules proposal)

I think you might be missing a bit of the Hero Factor, also.

What I mean is that it is often a lot more appealing to cast fireball and be a heroic combatant than it is to cast something that makes that other guy, who is already kind of the hero, more of a hero.

"it is, of course, a tragedy." He pauses, thinking for a second. "I do not think it is a post that should remain empty for too long, however. It seems to me that the empire is facing some threats, both from the clans and from elsewhere, so I would like to see someone of strength and h...

Re: Communal eating area

Kotaro smiles and gives a small shrug.

"Once a strategy is revealed, it becomes more open to counter."

"The Scorpion? Are we speaking of the magistrate? He struck me as a practical man. I am sure such a man will utilise you and yours well."
